整个MDUKEY系统分为底层区块链和应用层两大部分。底层链是为MDUKEY提供区块链服务、可信交易协议的应用链，既有一般公链的特征，又有独特的经济模型。

（一）基础层
做为区块链网络的基础，包含了防泛洪攻击的 P2P 网络实现，速度更快、编解码大小更小的go-amino编解码器，基础数据库LevelDB，加解密基础算法库，和速度更加快捷的AVL+树型结构存储算法。

（二）核心层
核心层一共包括三个部分：分布式账本、共识引擎和跨链 IBC 协议。分布式账本主要负责交易和区块的管理。其中账户模型需要匹配MDUKEY特定账户模型，较以太坊的账户模型有着更高的灵活性，可以根据业务模式不同而适配修改。对于交易的打包、验证和节点间区块同步也是本模块进行处理，根据同步到的区块，验证区块后进行世界状态树的更新。共识引擎采用 DPoS(Delegate PoS),有质押的权益证明。DPoS是硅谷Tendermint 团队发明的，其算法名字叫tendermint算法，支持2/3的拜占庭容错。通证持有人通过将通证质押网络节点参与网络验证。节点根据自己的voting power 可以参与区块验证获得出块奖励，委托人可以分享其委托节点获得的出块奖励。因为BFT类共识消息量庞大从而到导致的验证人数量不够中心化，MDUKEY才用VRF来进行解决。相对于PoW(Proof Of Work)共识机制仅靠消耗电力这样一种方式来惩罚作恶节点，Tendermint通过惩罚机制slash来实现对做恶的惩罚，节点多签或分叉通证就会被惩罚掉，作恶有经济的代价且效率更高，也更适合商业应用。IBC是链间通信协议的缩写（Inter-Blockchain CommunicationProtocol），使用IBC协议通过数据包交换，可以在多个不同的区块链网络之间转移数据和状态信息，可通过IBC将MDUChain中的交易介质替换为其他通证。

（三）管理层
整个管理层都是采用插件化模型设计，可以在编译阶段进行插拔选择。其中的验证模块是基础模块，为别的模块提供了验证功能。质押模块和共识模块一起协作，从而实现 DPOS 共识。激励模块包括奖励和惩罚两种措施来促使验证节点例行直接的责任。链上治理模块和参数管理模块一起实现整个生态系统的不停迭代。

（四）服务层
MduChain的服务层，我们将之称为MduService，可在此层开发各种协议插件。MDUKEY的可信交易协议就放置在此层，在数据交易中，买方在确定卖方拥有所需数据后，用于购买数据的通证将被锁定到网络中，数据传输完成后将自动转到卖方账户，保证在交易没有完成的时候不会将费用付给卖方。

（五）接口层
接口层提供区块链和外部进行通信的能力。系统提供了 WebSocket协议和Rpc协议两种接口供外部调用。同时也提供了两种语言的SDK帮助用户更容易的和底层链进行交互。

应用层为企业提供了钱包、区块链浏览器、开放平台、存储托管、决策引擎、撮合引擎等链外服务和应用。

（七）治理架构
很多区块链网络都采用链上治理的方式，但我们认为完全关注链上治理似乎是激进的，投票人并不能保证判断的正确性，意见领袖或其他因素都将影响投票人的判断，也可能会影响行业的正常发展。MduChain 将采用链上治理与链下治理的混合方式。
1.链上治理
MDUChain的链上治理是通过验证人节点实现的。MDU持有者可通过验证节点去方便、快捷地行使MDUChain的治理权。在MDUChain的治理生态中有如下三个角色：
(1)通证持有者：持有任意数量 MDU 的个体或机构。
(2)验证节点:负责 MDUChain 网络的交易验证、交易记账、区块打包等工作。
(3) MDUChain 理事会:验证节点按得票数的前 100 名当选为 MDUChain理事会成员。MDUChain理事会是MDUChain的核心链上治理组织，主要职责是设定合理的公链全局参数，以此促进MDUChain长期的健康发展。其中包括：
A. 修改区块链的动态参数，比如区块大小、区块间隔等；
B. 验证节点出块奖励、节点数量和活跃理事会成员数量等；
